The old saying goes that a week is a long time in politics and that goes equally for football and ten days ago I updated my pre season notes on Brentford and those thoughts are reproduced below  the "good luck" sign off and I think they bear another look at.

Brentford have taken nine points from three starts since and perhaps of equal importance they have put in their two best performances of the season in winning the last two at Wolves and Charlton (who were poor) by a combined 5-0.
