Brazil Serie A:
Oct 05, 2026

Two full rounds in Brazil this week as the season starts to wind down. The huge incentive, apart from winning the title and avoiding relegation, is Copa Libertadores qualification. The international competition is totally dominated by Brazilian teams , they have won the last seven editions, five have been all Brazilian affairs and this season seems likely to follow suit, as three of the four semi finalists are from Serie A and Corinthians will be kicking themselves that they did not make it 4 from 4. Anyway, it is CL qualification that occupies all minds and no wonder, as any team who makes the cut, has a very good chance of winning the competition. This season, seven Brazilian sides qualified and six made it to the last 16.
The top 5 in the league will qualify, but one of Flamengo/Fluminense/Palmeiras are also likely to make it as this year's winners, to open up another spot. The Copa Sudamericana ( think Europa League) winner will also take a spot next year and Vasco and Atletico-MG are in the semis and on opposite sides of the draw.
This season, as we have discussed multiple times , both Copa do Brasil finalists with qualify for the CL for the first time ever, it was previously just the winner and the last four in that are Gremio/Atletico-MG and Vasco/Palmeiras, so that could further open up league places and there could easily be nine CL qualifiers.
Don't bet any of the remaining agmes without a long look at the table first and considering who might have already qualified for the CL through other means and who has all their quialification hopes depending on league standing.
Good luck!
